Between July and September 2025, an independent testing programme purchased 127 of the best-selling collagen supplements, creams, and peptide serums from leading retailers and official brand websites. Each product went through three layers of scientific evaluation: laboratory fibroblast testing, instrumental firmness measurement on 120 volunteers, and 28-day consumer trials. The results were sobering. 118 of the 127 products showed no measurable increase in collagen production whatsoever. Nine showed minor hydration improvements — likely from added hyaluronic acid or vitamin C, not actual collagen growth. But 5 products — all using a completely different approach — showed statistically significant results. They weren't collagen products at all.
