Position 01: Closed Guard. The foundation of BJJ offense from bottom. Every submission tree — triangle, armbar, kimura, cross-choke — starts here. Refined by Hélio Gracie in the 1930s. Rickson set the modern standard in the 90s. Roger Gracie finished 3 world Absolute titles with nothing but the cross-collar choke from here. ↳ Ankles crossed BELOW the belt line, not the hips ↳ Cross-collar grip deep + same-side sleeve at wrist ↳ White-belt trap: opening while opponent has both collars + posture = toreando in under 15 seconds Comment your favorite closed-guard finish 👇 Save this for open mat. Tag your training partner who needs to see it. @ricksongracie @rogergraciebjj @bernardofariabjj @ibjjf @adcc_official #BJJ #jiujitsu #brazilianjiujitsu #closedguard #bjjguard #bjjfundamentals #whitebelt #bluebelt #gracie #ricksongracie #bernardofaria #ibjjf #adcc #bjjworlds #bjjlifestyle #bjjcommunity #osss #bjjtechnique #jiujitsulife #bjjeducation
