A year ago, I didn’t know what the future was going to look like. You were sick and I was terrified. There were more bad days than good and even though I held you while you cried, I felt like a little child who didn’t know what to do, how to handle one of the most important people in my life in so much pain. Not again. Yet every day you show me the meaning of strength, of resilience, of courage… you show me what it means to be a woman, to stand tall and to never stop. I’m so lucky you’re my mum, so grateful to be blessed with you, grateful that I still get to look to you every day, to hold your hand, to be lost in the warmth of hugs that make the world a better place. I love you, mum. Happy Mother’s Day. 💗
