Ad text

This is P1, one of the earliest surviving copies of the Gospel of Matthew. Copied in the early 3rd century and discovered at Oxyrhynchus, Egypt, this fragment preserves the opening of Matthew 1, the genealogy of Jesus, written by hand on papyrus nearly 1,800 years ago. What you’re looking at is a museum-grade facsimile, faithfully recreated on authentic Egyptian papyrus down to the fiber and tone of the original. P1 is part of our collection curated with apologist and manuscript scholar @wesley_huff , built around the manuscripts he considers most significant for understanding how the New Testament text was written, copied, and carried across the centuries. It is a study piece: something to hold, teach from, and pass on. Own a piece of how Scripture survived.
