Hey there! After more than a year away, I’m finally back on Instagram- on my own terms! Looking through my old posts and captions is opening a time capsule full of memories. I have said the following in the past, but it’s always a great reminder and still holds true to me: I hope each of you are doing well- mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. To be honest, being on IG can feel like a lot of pressure. The constant need to keep people engaged and maintain interest sometimes makes me lose sight of who I really am. When that happens, this platform stops being enjoyable. I’ve always been someone who wants to please others, but I already know it will never be enough. I have to be “me” and embrace every moment, whether it’s very ordinary or extra-ordinary. My life is far from perfect. Moving forward, I hope to share more about sneakers and whatever else is on my mind- in serious and in humor. Encouraging others through faith and action is also something I may post about at times. As an introvert, this won’t always come easy, so bear with me. I tend to overthink what I “should” post versus what I want to post, but I’m working on choosing the latter. I may not be on here all the time, and I definitely will NOT be posting every day like I used to. I’ll check in when I have my down times. Just a heads-up in going forward, my pictures, captions, and (maybe) reels/videos won’t be perfect. If I do create reels/videos of me, expect a lot of “umm’s”, my apologies in advance! I also plan to sell sneakers as I want slim down my collection and keep only the pairs that truly mean something to me. (All you Mens Size 13 or 14 folks, stay tuned!). This return to IG will be a gradual process, and I’ll be taking breaks when needed, both short and long. For those who are still here, thank you for your support (and maybe even friendship). For those who don’t know me, my name is Brian Rivera. I collect and take photos of sneakers. I work as a pharmacist. I’m passionate about encouraging others.
