How we count

Ad text

Hi, I’m the Founder and CEO of Mint Telecom, which I launched back in May 2014. I’ve been in telco for a long time, going right back to 1996 when Optus was first starting out and mobiles were barely a thing. When NBN was first being launched I had a firm belief that if everyone is buying from the same provider, at the same rates, the key differentiator must surely be service. I mean, it’s awfully hard to differentiate on price when you’re buying at the same rate as everyone else, sure, you can make your business as lean as possible by outsourcing costs to other countries with lower wage rates, trim back your product or service or both, but ultimately that’s a race to the bottom, in my view. At Mint we aim for competitive pricing – cheaper than many, more than some, similar to most – backed by a small and experienced team that focuses on delivering the best product and service possible. Little things matter at Mint. Like answering the phone in <30 secs (which we have averaged year on year since we started), proactive service like Mint Monitor (where we contact you if we see a problem each business day….something no one else does) and making sure we have best of breed products. Boring, yes. For everyone? No. Telco is a strange thing, no one really values it until its not working. Internet at circa $3 a day….too expensive! But then it’s expected to work 24/7, 365 and heaven forbid it goes down for an hour or a day. Me, I get frustrated waiting in a queue for 5 mins to speak to someone. Then more so when they make me hold on the line for another 15 minutes to resolve my enquiry. We don’t do that at Mint. 30 seconds (on average) wait time to reach us. Then, once we know the issue, we don’t need to keep you on the line, we’ll work through the resolution and then let you know when fixed (an email or a call or an SMS). Your time is valuable. We believe getting things fixed quickly has a value. We sell NBN services Australia Wide for homes and small businesses. But we specialise in Hosted PBX solutions for small businesses. Affordable phone solutions from $29.95 per user per month with big business features like call queuing, call recording and mobile apps. Work from anywhere, literally. No techs required. Hardware is plug and play and owned outright by you, reusable with any other provider. We manage it for you remotely. Keep the same numbers, we move them to us. We manage the move, we have tons of experience in doing this, its our bread and butter. So, if you’re like me and you value the same things, or are simply interested in how our phone solutions can work for your small business, reach out, let’s have a conversation. Cheers Michael
