Chapter 1 There's a Show You'll Want to See "Mr. Campbell, I love you so much!" The syrupy voice could make anyone's bones shiver. "How much? Like this... or this?" The husky, magnetic tone made the woman's face flush even redder. A text from an unknown number flashed on her screen. "Midnight Lounge VIP Suite. There's a show you'll want to see." Juliette Davis gripped her phone so hard her knuckles went white. She stood staring at the gold-trimmed door for a solid minute, something dark coiling in her chest. She blinked, and when she opened her eyes again, every trace of emotion had drained from her face. Nothing left but ice. She kicked it. The heavy door flew open. Even in the dim, sleazy private room, she could see everything just fine. Her dear fiancé had some woman wrapped around him, kissing like the rest of the world didn't exist. The whole thing was disgusting. The crash didn't even make them flinch. That was how deep in it they were. Juliette should have been furious. Instead, she felt weirdly calm. She watched the live-action p*rn play out without a word, a mocking smile tugging at her lips. They were giving quite the performance, but she wasn't about to stand there and let it burn her eyes any longer. She walked over, grabbed a bottle off the low table, and smashed it down on his head. Glass shattered. Alcohol drenched both of them. Shards scattered everywhere. A long, piercing scream tore through the room. "Who the f*ck—" Henry Campbell spun around, furious, still seeing stars. Then he caught sight of that face. Even twisted with rage, it was stunning. Panic hit him like a truck. He shoved the woman away. He scrambled up, but his pants dropped. He yanked them back up, fumbling like an idiot. "Julie, let me explain—" He reached for her hand. His pants weren't fastened, so the second he let go, they slipped down again. He grabbed them quickly, his face cycling from red to white and back again. "Julie, it's not what it looks like. Just let me explain." Juliette crossed her arms and stepped back, keeping her distance. A sharp laugh slipped out. "Henry, you couldn't even get a room? That desperate?" The contempt in her eyes was unmistakable. Henry's face burned. "Julie, I'll come home and explain—" Juliette decided he reeked too much to torture her nose another second. She kept her expression flat. "Henry, we're done. Engagement's off. And hey—have fun being stuck together forever, you cheating *sshole and your cheap side piece." She turned and headed for the door. Henry reached for her on instinct, but Juliette wasn't about to let his filthy hands touch her. She spun and kicked him. A black-belt karate kick wasn't something most people could just walk off. Henry flew backward and stayed down. "Ah! Mr. Campbell! Are you okay? Oh my god—" Camille Reed shrieked and scrambled over to him. Juliette watched with cold disgust, then walked straight out. She barely made it past the door before a crowd blocked her path. Juliette scanned the pack of rich degenerates. Henry's loser friends, all of them. Dylan Parker rubbed his nose. "Sh*t. Uh... we didn't see anything." Under her cold stare, he quietly stepped aside. The others did the same. A woman radiating this much fury? Nobody wanted to mess with that. Juliette gave them a frosty look and walked right through. Every single one of them watched her go. That body, those curves—who the hell could resist? And that face, innocent and lethal at the same time. The kind of beauty that hooked deep and stayed. They honestly could not figure out how Henry had still managed to cheat. Chapter 2 You Deserve to Get Dumped Dylan caught them all staring like idiots. He thought of Henry and kicked the nearest guy. "The hell are you looking at? Get in there and help him before he f*cking dies." That snapped everyone back. Henry could not go down tonight. If he did, none of them would get out clean. They poured into the room. They shoved the half-dressed woman aside without a second glance. After seeing what perfection looked like outside, nobody felt like being gentle with this one. "Henry, you dead yet? Say something." "Dylan, go after Julie for me." Henry could barely stand from the pain, but he wasn't about to let Juliette go. He'd chased her for a year before she agreed to date him. They'd only been engaged for a year. He loved her. Dylan stared at him. You're half dead and you're still thinking about chasing a woman? If you knew this would happen, why couldn't you keep your d*mn d*ck in your pants? He glanced at the other person on the floor. His eyes practically burned. He looked away fast. "Not a chance. I'm no match for Juliette. I have no desire to die young." Juliette was gorgeous. Nobody else in Osaton City even came close. She was also terrifying. How many women would smash a bottle over a guy's head and then kick him across the room? Probably zero. Henry's insides burned. Who the hell tipped her off? Otherwise, how would my Julie have ended up here? She hardly ever came to places like this. He barely ever brought her. She was his treasure. His eyes shot toward the woman who'd been shoved aside. He gritted through the pain. "Did you send her that message?" His voice was cold and sharp. Camille burst into tears under that glare. "No—I didn't. I don't even know who she is." She wasn't lying. She knew Henry had a fiancée, but she'd never actually seen her. If she'd known the woman looked like that, she would have picked someone else. She only made a fool of herself next to Juliette. Dylan glanced at the pitiful woman and almost felt sorry for her. It really wasn't her. He knew who did it. He wasn't about to say. Henry stared at Camille for a long moment. Once he was sure she wasn't lying, he said coldly, "Get out." Camille was speechless. She nearly let a curse slip. You deserve to get dumped, *sshole. She didn't dare stay another second. She grabbed her clothes and bolted out of the suite. Henry turned to his childhood friends. His look said it all. They all jumped in to defend themselves. "Henry, it wasn't us. We're not that bored." "Seriously, if you're gonna cheat, at least be discreet. Couldn't afford a room?" "You took the thrill-seeking way too far, man." "Henry, you need us to put your pants on for you?" Henry glared. "Get the hell out. All of you." Dylan led the pack. "Got it. We're gone." The others shot him sympathetic glances. Is his d*ck okay? Someone tossed out a last word. "Henry, don't stress. Just sweet-talk her later. Women always come around." Henry wasn't comforted. He knew Juliette—she wasn't the type he could sweet-talk into anything. Juliette didn't leave loose ends. The families had made this engagement official. It needed an official end. She planned to head straight to Campbell Villa. But she needed a ride. Just as she was about to call for one, a black, understated luxury car screeched to a stop in front of her. The window rolled down. A striking, razor-sharp face appeared.
