Qingyan, a 600-year-old stone town in Guiyang, Guizhou Province, is also the filming location of the famous movie The Missing Gun starring Jiang Wen. Founded in 1378 during the Ming Dynasty, Qingyan was once a key military fortress. Almost everything here was built of stone – ancient city walls, stone-paved streets and traditional dwellings all bear witness to its long history.
