Ad text

Humility is not thinking less of yourself; it is seeing yourself truthfully before God. It is the willingness to look inward and honestly ask, "Lord, what still needs to change in me?" That question alone begins to dismantle pride and weaken arrogance. The greatest enemy of growth is the belief that you have already arrived. The moment you stop seeing room for improvement, you also stop making room for God's transforming work. David prayed, "Search me, O God, and know my heart... see if there is any wicked way in me" (Psalm 139:23–24). He understood that true spiritual maturity begins with self-examination under the light of God's presence. Likewise, the apostle Paul urged believers, "Examine yourselves" (2 Corinthians 13:5). A humble heart is never afraid of God's inspection because it knows that conviction leads to restoration. There is a spiritual mystery here: God pours more into empty vessels than into those already convinced they are full. Water naturally flows to the lowest place, and in the same way, the grace of God settles upon hearts that have learned to bow low before Him. Scripture declares, "God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble" (James 4:6). This is more than a principle—it is a spiritual law. Pride closes the door to divine increase, while humility becomes the gateway through which God's wisdom, power, and presence enter. Every genuine gift of the Holy Spirit is connected to a heart that longs for more of God. Paul encouraged believers, "Earnestly desire the spiritual gifts" (1 Corinthians 14:1). Holy hunger precedes holy manifestation. God often reveals Himself where there is expectation, surrender, and a deep thirst for His presence. The glory of God is not attracted to spiritual complacency. It rests upon hearts that refuse to settle for yesterday's encounter. Moses cried, "Please, show me Your glory" (Exodus 33:18), though he had already witnessed miracles beyond imagination. His humility allowed him to seek what he had never yet experienced. Never allow your current level of understanding, your traditions, or even your past encounters with God to convince you that there is nothing more. The Kingdom of God is deeper than your experience, broader than your imagination, and richer than your vocabulary. There are dimensions of God's purpose for your life that no one in your family has walked in, no one in your circle has imagined, and no human mind could have planned. But only the humble will continue to seek them. May we never become so satisfied with where we are that we stop hungering for where God desires to take us. "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled." — Matthew 5:6
