Most people love the idea of learning and adding value to their vocations, but they don’t know what to do when corporate doesn’t reciprocate. Sister, I get it! After high school, I graduated from college and headed to the workforce as a professional nurse. My career was everything to me and I loved it! I spent time taking courses and attending conferences to grow my skill set and continually add value to my unit, personally and professionally. Despite my efforts and the addition of nights, weekend, and holiday hours, I soon realized I had maxed out my income potential. Picking up extra shifts wasn’t going to do anything more than keep me away from my family and burn me out. My take home numbers were not going to budge. Around the same time, I had an injury that left me in physical therapy for two years and recovering from 3 major surgeries. I was never cleared to lift greater than 15lbs and returning to my unit in the emergency room wasn't in the picture. I found myself in the middle of a divorce with small children and no family support. I lost my home and to make matters worse, there were no nursing positions within 50 miles of where I lived. I found something in the north Dallas area sitting at a desk all day, the upside was it had a great school district to help support the needs of my special needs son. Sitting at that desk soon presented a problem and I headed back to my doctor for testing. It was a difficult time and I struggled to keep my thoughts in a positive place and also make ends meet. I had to be strong, my kids needed me! I decided to take some of my clinical nursing expertise and offer to consult with companies in need of a medical expert. However, with the events of 2020, all have dissolved and so did my business. During my foray with launching a consulting business, a friend introduced me to an out of the box business idea. It was an easy-to-follow business strategy for a professional like me. Finally, a straight-forward path to bet my life back on track AND I’m again leading women to live life on their terms! I leaned in hard and found a world without limits, full of empowerment, resources, and I am again leading women to live life on their terms. My passion is helping others reach their goals and I absolutely love training, working aside, and watching my team soar in life!
