In 2 Corinthians 10:5, the Bible says, “take every thought captive and make it obedient to Christ.” ---->>> Want to know how we can do this???? 🙌 Try this little journaling process called PLANTING TRUTH. Go through the process whenever you need to, it's a great way to start your day and plant God's truth in your heart. If you've ever let some untruthful thoughts slip in and take root.....here’s how to uproot them! 🙌 (1) - Write out ‘the lie’ that’s been looping in your head. Think about what you’ve been thinking about. (I know, sounds strange.) But how can we take our thoughts captive if we don’t know what we’re thinking. It really helps to get it out on paper, to really see how untrue it is. Dig down and get to the underlying belief. Our enemy loves to plant those deep. 🙌 (2) - Ask yourself, is this really ‘the truth’? Do these thoughts line up with God’s Word? Probably not! Since ‘the lie’ is not true than some sort of the opposite must be true. Dig into his Word and see what he has to say about it. Write out your new true thoughts, find verses as proof. Then make the decision that God’s Word is the only truth and what you’ve been thinking is in fact a lie. Declare it! 🙌 (3) - Ask God to show you ‘the evidence’ of this new truth that you have discovered. Real world, real life evidence. Things will begin to show up and start happening that align with His truth. As soon as you decide and ask God to show you, He will. Remember to keep a watchful eye and write it all down in your Prayerful Planner journal.
