Ad text
Every horse has a story — this is William's. I have owned William since he was two years old — he is now 28. I bought him to show as a native, but soon realised he had many other talents. He has team chased, show jumped and been a back-up pony at Pony Club, but his real talent is dressage. He started British Dressage in 2013 and qualified for Hickstead Premier League in his first year. In 2014 he qualified for the regionals, but I had emergency back surgery and we could not go. While I was in hospital, William suffered colic and had to go to Newmarket, but thankfully he recovered and came home. We recovered together. Recently we competed at Addington in the Petplan Area Festival, finishing fourth in a class of more than 30. This was meant to be our last ever competition. William moved onto Care & Gain after advice from Allen & Page that it would suit him better as it is lower in sugar. He has been on it since it launched and it is easy for him to eat with his older teeth. He looks amazing on it and it helps keep his weight on. The vet recently said he is the perfect weight and looks amazing.
