THE CELESTIAL LOCATION OF PUSHYA Pushya Nakshatra extends from: 03°20' Karka (Cancer) to 16°40' Karka (Cancer) Entirely within the nurturing waters of Karka Rashi. Astronomically, Pushya is associated with a cluster of stars in the constellation Cancer. The principal stars traditionally connected with Pushya are: Gamma Cancri (Asellus Borealis) Delta Cancri (Asellus Australis) Theta Cancri These stars form the celestial region surrounding the ancient cluster known as Praesepe, the Beehive Cluster. Among them, the most important visible stellar marker is: Asellus Borealis (Gamma Cancri) Ancient sky-watchers observed these stars as guardians standing beside a celestial manger or cradle.
