Ethical Clothing Australia Week runs from 10 to 20 September and celebrates the skilled workers behind Australia’s ethical textile, clothing and footwear industry. We’re bringing together the people whose skill, care and experience underpin this sector. Through live storytelling and guided conversation, workers and outworkers will share their personal journeys, the pride they take in their craft, and the realities of working behind the seams. Together, we will explore the value of local manufacturing, the challenges workers can face, and their hopes for the industry’s future. This is an opportunity to hear from the skilled workers who create the garments we wear but whose voices are rarely heard.
