Ad text
Motherhood later in life carries a different meaning; one filled with gratitude and blessing. We are better prepared, having lived, learned and found our footing along the way. Yet still, a gentle concern lingers in many hearts: how do we care for and support our young children when our working years may end before theirs truly begin? I became a mum later in life. Not because I didn’t want a child, but because life just took its own path. I met my husband later too, and deep down I always knew I wanted to be a mother and for him to experience being a dad. The journey wasn’t easy. There was a lot of waiting, hoping, and quiet heartbreak that not many people saw. Then life surprised us. I was blessed with my little miracle; a five-year-old girl who is now the centre of our world. I’ve spent more than 2 decades working in the service sector, giving and taking care of others. Motherhood reminded me why I kept going and why hope still matters. This is my story. Not of perfection but of persistence.
