Hosted by the Theological Education and Missions Centre (TEAM) on Spintex Road in Accra, the programme brings together biblical theology, pastoral leadership development, liturgical training, and ministerial ethics in order to prepare candidates for faithful service in ordained ministry. The programme recognises that ordination is not simply a ceremonial event but a sacred recognition by the Church that a minister has been called, examined, and commissioned to serve the people of God through preaching the Word, administering the sacraments, shepherding congregations, and guiding the Church in its mission. The curriculum therefore integrates biblical foundations of ministry, spiritual formation, pastoral leadership, worship practices, and church mission within the realities of contemporary ministry in West Africa. What This Programme Will Offer You Participants will develop a strong understanding of the biblical and theological foundations of ordained ministry and the responsibilities associated with pastoral leadership. The programme equips candidates with the knowledge required to understand ordination traditions, ecclesiastical practices, and the spiritual significance of ministerial calling. Students will also explore the structure and meaning of ordination ceremonies, including the laying on of hands, commissioning prayers, and the public recognition of ministerial authority within the Church. The programme introduces participants to clerical vestments, ordination dress, and liturgical colours used within Christian worship traditions. In addition, participants will gain practical training in pastoral leadership, church governance, worship leadership, and pastoral care.
