At the entrance to the historic Ramos Pinto offices, visitors were welcomed with a striking visual and symbolic display. This reception features early 20th-century azulejos (ceramic tiles), created in 1909 by Pedro de Figueiredo, depicting the Douro Valley with Bacchus, the Roman god of wine, surrounded by the Douro river’s nymphs. The female figures are portrayed nude, a bold and controversial choice for the time and that was precisely Adriano Ramos Pinto’s goal: to provoke, to leave a lasting impression, and to ensure no one forgot his wines or his brand.
