A year in and I can finally tick off Otto’s room from my to-do list. I struggled to envision the layout of the room, what he needed and how to make it all come together. He himself was sure of one thing; he required a desk for which he could make “gifts”. Whether that is an old receipt covered in crayon or a yellow sticky note worked into origami (if you squint a bit) he needed a workstation. I believe in longevity and durability, especially when it comes to pieces in my home. The new EIK base oakstation from @makenordic lives up to all my expectations, with its beautiful wooden surface that can easily be sanded and re-oiled once the crayon stains overtake too much. All I can imagine is this desk in years to come, moving from a little boys room to a teenager’s, doing his homework, rather than coloring.
