We know the usual doubts around woolen shawls, so we answer them simply. “Will it itch on my skin” We test every shawl against the neck and inner arm. If it feels scratchy, it does not enter the collection. Many iTokri shawls can be worn directly on the skin. A slight rub in the beginning, especially with deeper tones, is normal. There should be no harsh, patchy bleed. Dry clean is the safest route. For simpler pieces, very gentle cold hand wash and shade dry can work if you are comfortable with wool care. “Are they too dressy for daily use” We curate both. Plain and subtly patterned shawls for office, home and travel. More detailed pieces for festive days and special evenings. Even the richer ones are chosen so they can be repeated across many winters, not just for one event. “Is the price justified” You are paying for fine wool and wool blends, rare block printing on wool from craft regions, small batch production, advance paid work to artisans, zero plastic packaging and human checking of each piece. Worn daily or several times a week through winter, and then again next year, the cost per wear becomes very low.
