BOOOOOST GIVE ME MORE POWAHHH This lovely Leon FR 2.0Tdi CUPA 181 came into us for a map check and engine light. We’re not going to name no companies here but I’m shocked this cars turbo is still in good health 🫣 If you scroll to our second attached photo you can see the car is holding 1.8 bar of boost at 4100 rpm…. This is a 💣 waiting to go off, turbo is well out of its efficiency range, essentially turning it into a heat pump resulting in 45 degree intake temp 🥹 not ideal ! CKP i If we compare apples to apple at 4100 rpm we see the intake temp is 6 degrees less and 100mbars of boost less 1.7(this is still quite high be we wanted to make sure the car was just as quick but with safety), the curve is also round and linear resulting in a smooth drive rather than the car being on and off like a switch. We also pulled torque quite significantly after 4k rpm as the egt sensor was also removed so we can’t see how hot it’s getting 😩 Exhaust shops STOP REMOVING IMPORTANT SENSORS 😅
