The Design Museum in London has opened Wes Anderson: The Archives, a major exhibition that brings over 700 never-before-seen props, costumes and models from Anderson’s personal archive to the public for the first time. Curated by Lucia Savi and Johanna Agerman Ross, the show spans 14 rooms and traces each film chronologically, from Bottle Rocket through to Asteroid City, with highlights including the jaguar-printed shark from The Life Aquatic and the scale model of the Grand Budapest Hotel. Designed by @abrogersdesign, the exhibition immerses visitors in Anderson’s visual world through cinematic colour stories, architectural partitions and windows that reveal each film’s universe. A special section dedicated to his stop-motion work shines a light on the puppets and models created at London’s 3 Mills Studios. On view from 21 November 2025 to 26 July 2026, the show offers a rare look at the objects that shaped Anderson’s storytelling and hints at future expansions as new films are released.
