What drives hyperphagia in syndromic and hypothalamic obesity? This Research Topic explores the biological mechanisms behind severe hyperphagia in conditions such as Prader–Willi and Bardet–Biedl syndromes, and hypothalamic obesity. Areas of focus include MC4R pathway dysfunction, GLP-1 receptor agonists, and behavioral approaches to appetite regulation. We invite submissions from researchers studying appetite control, hypothalamic function, and the metabolic impact of hyperphagia.
