Over the years, Seventh-day Adventists have been called many things. “Cult” is one of them. And to be honest, some people have experienced church environments that felt rigid, extreme, or even controlling. That shouldn’t be brushed aside. Church culture isn’t always healthy, and sometimes people have been hurt. But an unhealthy culture or poor leadership doesn’t define the official beliefs of a global church.
