📍 The Necessity of Godly Submission and Spiritual Discernment If you cannot submit to an anointed man of God whom God has placed in your life, you may instead be submitting to your fallen self. By “anointed,” I do not mean someone who merely holds a title or claims spiritual authority. I mean one who is genuinely filled with and governed by the Spirit of Jesus Christ. Submitting to an anointed shepherd is not blind submission to a man. It is recognizing the shepherding of Christ working through him. God appoints true shepherds to care for His people, watch over their souls, and feed them with His Word. 📌 Jeremiah 3:15“I will give you shepherds according to My heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding.” True shepherds do not draw people away from Christ or make them dependent upon themselves. They lead people closer to Jesus, teach truth, guard them from deception, and prepare them to know His voice. There are false shepherds who are greedy, abusive, manipulative, immoral, and concerned with money and power. Jesus warned that they would arise. 📌 Matthew 7:15“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.” Yet counterfeits do not mean the genuine no longer exists. Gold may be hidden among sand and soil, but dirt does not mean there is no gold. God still calls, fills, anoints, and sends faithful shepherds after His own heart. Be led by the Word of Truth and the Spirit of Truth. Test the spirits and examine the fruit. 📌 1 John 4:1“Do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God.” Remain close to Jesus Christ, established in His Word, obedient to the Spirit of Truth, in fellowship with faithful believers, and under the care of true shepherds whom Christ has appointed. To reject a genuine shepherd because counterfeits exist is not discernment. Discernment distinguishes the false from the true. Know Christ’s voice. Test the fruit. Judge according to God’s Word. Do not allow pride, fear, offense, rebellion, or past wounds to turn you into a wandering sheep outside His fold. —Evg. Samuel Meesala #SubmissionToChrist #GodlyShepherdi
