Ad text
Adobe has teamed up with Bloomsbury Football Foundation to launch Kick & Create holiday camps – ensuring that girls have the tools to create their own futures in football. Starting this May half-term, the Kick & Create camps will give girls in London the chance to develop both their creative and football skills - hosted in the boroughs of Camden and Islington. Combining on-pitch football coaching with hands-on creative workshops, the camps will target girls aged between six and 16, empowering them to become the future of the women’s game both on and off the pitch. Adobe will help subsidise each camp, with research from the brand suggesting that 43% of parents believe the main barrier to entry for girls in football is cost. The Kick & Create camps will also combine the best that Adobe and Bloomsbury have to offer, with the creativity workshops utilising the brand’s Adobe Express software so participants can design their own kits, make videos and create posters – while top coaches from Bloomsbury’s network will lead the on-pitch sessions. While the Lionesses’ historic Euro victory in 2022 helped more than 129,000 girls access school football by the time the 2025 tournament kicked off (according to findings from the Football Association), girls are still less likely than boys to attend summer football camps. New findings from Adobe suggest that nearly half of young girls in the UK become more interested in playing football after watching the women’s game and girls are three times more likely to attend football camps if creative elements are involved.
