No Soldier Should Have to Give Up Their Dog to Deploy For many military members, their dog is more than a pet. It’s their lifeline, their comfort, and a piece of home they hold onto while serving. But when deployment orders come, many families face an impossible question: What happens to their dog? Foster programs often have waiting lists, breed restrictions, or cannot handle long-term care. Deployment orders can also come with very little notice. That’s where Haven Mia Bella steps in. Since 2005, we have helped military families keep their dogs safe during deployment by providing long-term care through Dancing Creek Farm. These dogs aren’t just boarded. They receive daily care, enrichment, exercise, and a team that truly knows them. We also add owners to a private WhatsApp group with our team, where they receive photos and videos of their dog playing, training, and thriving. For many deployed service members, those updates become a huge source of comfort during stressful deployments. We even provide door-to-door transport across the Mid-Atlantic, helping pick up dogs from military families who may not have the time or ability to travel before deployment. Haven Mia Bella is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and donations help offset the cost so military families aren’t overwhelmed financially while serving our country. ❤️ Your support helps keep families and their dogs together — even when deployment separates them.
