💜 Hunter Care Group Community Development Fund Donation 💜 On behalf of all the staff at Hunter Care Group, we are proud to announce a $2,000 donation to the Stroke Foundation through our Community Development Fund. This donation also recognises and supports the incredible efforts of one of our Participants, Nikki, who is currently fundraising for the Stroke Foundation after her own life-changing experience. In March 2024, Nikki suffered a stroke and spent nearly 10 weeks in hospital away from her family. Since then, she has shown remarkable determination in her recovery and is now committed to helping others affected by stroke. 👏 In September, Nikki and her physiotherapist Kylie will take on an incredible challenge by completing the final 114 kilometres of the Camino de Santiago trek in Spain over five days, raising funds for the Stroke Foundation along the way. 🥾🚶🏼‍♀️ The work of the Stroke Foundation is incredibly important. Every 11 minutes someone in Australia experiences a stroke, and the organisation plays a vital role in prevention, awareness, treatment, and recovery support for survivors and their families. Their programs are designed to help save lives and support people through recovery. 🙌 We are incredibly proud of Nikki and the passion she has shown in turning her experience into something that will help others.
