Somebody wrote two words on my survey a while back and I have not been able to shake them since. Clone myself. I laughed, and then I stopped laughing, because honestly, same. One of me could write the thing while the other one answers all the emails. One could look at the numbers while the other one just goes outside. 🙃 But here's where that took me. Some of the work really does need your actual brain, the ideas and the judgment and the call that only you can make. And then there's the other pile. Go find that thing. Look through all of this and tell me what keeps showing up. Rebuild the thing you've already built seventeen times. None of that needs another you. It just needs somebody to have the job. My friend Callan Faulkner doesn't start with what AI can do. She starts with an org chart. What jobs exist here, what does each one need to know to do it well, and which ones only land on a human because there was never anybody else to hand them to.
