Hosting a backyard gathering this season? Make it a Propane-Safe Summer. Propane tanks and gas cylinders should never be placed in the trash or recycling. They can rupture and injure waste workers. Bring them to a retailer for exchange OR drop them off at a Ramsey or Washington County environmental center for free!

Propane tanks and gas cylinders should never be placed in household trash, dumpsters or recycling bins. Propane tanks, even when they appear empty, can still hold residual gas and rupture or explode, creating a hazard for waste facilities and workers.
