Come visit our open day on 24th of Jan. For more info about us have a look at www.poriruamontessori.squarespace.com ✨ At Porirua Montessori Primary School we believe in a different kind of learning – one where every child is truly seen, valued and empowered. 👣 Instead of embedding children into age-only class groups, we use mixed‐age classrooms so younger tamariki learn from older peers and older children grow in leadership and empathy. 🎯 We focus on independence and choice. Our students plan parts of their day, select work that meets their interests and pace, and deepen concentration in long, uninterrupted work sessions. 🌍 Our curriculum is grounded in “Education for Life” – we integrate academic learning using an internationally recongised curriculum tailored to Aotearoa with care for each child, community, culture and the environment. Respect, responsibility and compassion are woven through everything. 📚 We go beyond the expected. With small class sizes and a learning environment designed especially for students aged 5-13, we tailor programmes to each child’s strengths and needs rather than expecting every child to move at the same pace. If you’re looking for something beyond the usual primary school experience – a place where your child can grow not just academically but as a confident, capable, connected human – get in touch with us today to learn more about 2026 enrolments.
