At some point in the last few months I became "the person who remembers things" at work. Nobody decided this. It just happened. Someone says "didn't we talk about this in March?" and everyone looks at me. Here's the thing. I have a genuinely bad memory. I forget why I opened the fridge. But I know what we decided in March. I know who said they'd own it. I know it quietly never got done, and I know how to bring that up politely. Because months ago I let Fireflies sit in my meetings, and it just… kept everything. The conversations, the decisions, what I said I'd do next. Then it started handling the follow-ups too. So my reputation is technically built on outsourcing. It's free, by the way. Which feels unfair to everyone who doesn't know yet.
