Hello community ~ Please enjoy captures from the recent annual Mandala Art & Culture Retreat. Participants experienced the art of storytelling through the hand, heart and mind ~ inspired by Carl Jung’s teachings complimented with talks on Animism & Hindu/Buddhist philosophy ~ We explored The Mandala & Lotus Flower in a traditional & contemporary sense, whilst exploring cross-cultural foundations for psychological and spiritual health. Alongside cultural activities ~ Mt Batukaru ~ where our retreat is held sits in the West meaning Paschim ~ “ the one that comes afterwards” ~ and is one of the nine holiest sites ~ This one in particular is dedicated to the ancestors ( god of the plants ) and Lord Shiva. Pura Batukaru is known as the best place for meditation. To become one with Mother Earth. A place that transformed me 16 years ago. It is now an honour to share with those who feel called to cross the threshold.
