How we count

Ad text

When we first started making changes, we weren’t trying to be perfect. We were just trying to feel better. There was no social media to confuse us- it was just us navigating what we knew and what we could learn from school, research and Google. We were 25 and 26 dealing with joint pain, rashes, eczema, low energy, and honestly just feeling older than we were. We didn’t know where to start, so we picked a few things we used daily and started there. These were our first five swaps: • Industrial oils • Soda • Plastic tupperware • Laundry detergent • Dryer sheets None of these were flashy changes. We weren’t buying fancy supplements or jumping into some cleanse. We were just paying attention to the things we were using on repeat that could be messing with our hormones, skin, energy, or gut health. We didn’t do it all at once. We didn’t throw everything out. And we definitely didn’t stress over the occasional takeout meal or using a plastic container when the glass ones were in the dishwasher. But we did start choosing differently when we could. Better oils for cooking. Water and electrolytes instead of soda. Swapping our detergent after seeing what it was doing to our skin. We noticed a big difference, and it made it easier to keep going. If you’re just getting started, focus on the things you use most often. That’s where you’ll get the most return. And no, you don’t have to do it perfectly to feel better. Let me know in the comments what your first swap was or what’s next on your list.
