The Lord is picky. Do you ever talk to the Lord when you're alone? I do it all the time. Yesterday, I was alone painting my house and talking out loud to God. I was trying to "convince" Him to let me do something that He hasn't released me to do. (And probably won't, to be honest.) As I talked to Him about the matter, I said to Him, "I'm not even picky!" Immediately, the quiet reponse came to me......"But I am." 🤯 Tears came to my eyes. Of course He is. He is picky about what He wants for His daughters, for His sons. I thought that by telling the Lord I wasn't being particular, it would show Him that I was ready to serve Him however I could. I completely disregarded His good plans, His righteous steps, and how He refuses to let his children settle. Child of God, He is picky about you. He is careful with your future. He has great plans for you. He will not release you to do that thing you're wanting--even if it seems good--because He has BETTER things for you. As awesome as that thing seems, He has better, more awesome things! (Is awesome-er a word?) Those things that are bad? He's using them for your good and His glory. Those things that are good that He won't seem to hand over to you? He has better for your good and His glory. How GLORIOUS to have a Father that is picky over us! Rejoice in that! "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them." Ephesians 2:10 ESV. God will not let us settle for less-than, even when we don't understand. What a marvelous joy to know this truth. Wishing you all God's love and smiles for your day, beautiful ones.
