Many women don’t like to talk about their own struggle with infertility especially if their friends and family members seemed to have the opposite problem. And I don’t blame them. I can certainly relate. My name is Birgit, I am an Author, Master Herbalist, Iridologist and Wellness Coach. Although things are great for me now, things were once much different. I was challenged by infertility. Imagine you work with people day in and day out by helping them heal through natural ways, but I was not able to help myself. After a year of trying, I finally went to a fertility clinic. I still remember sitting in their waiting room, feeling embarrassed that my herbal knowledge wasn’t enough to get me pregnant. I just couldn’t understand how this can happen to me. I was eating only organic, never took medication and my relationship to my husband was loving and caring. Why did this happen to me? I just wanted to get pregnant so badly. But after dealing with it over a year, I thought the fertility clinic would help me reach my goal faster, but even after a round of CLOMID I still wasn’t pregnant. This is when I realized that I needed to stop fighting against my body, instead I needed to work and embrace my body. Remember a pregnancy is a natural healthy state for a female body! After 12 weeks, I was surprised by my own results. I was pregnant. So, I thought why not run a beta group with some of my friends and clients and see if it would work for them too. And to my delight, it worked for most of them! Obviously, there’s no single solution that works for everyone, but I was so happy that this worked so well even for those where infertility runs in their family or had tried almost everything to get pregnant with little to show for their efforts.
