TAG A MATE WHO DOESN'T KNOW ABOUT US! (we are right in your backyard!..) 🌿 We hear too often.. “Oh wow! I live close by and didn't know you were here and did all these things!” 🏡 Yes, when our programs are full, we do not advertise them on social media because we don't want to turn people away unnecessarily. But it is important that as a local, YOU know what we do and know that we are here to support your community. SERVICES OUR ORGANISATION PROVIDES AT THE CENTRE: 👨‍👩‍👧 Family support services 👶 Early childhood developmental services 📚 Parenting education programs. As scheduled each school term. 🧠 Counselling & psychological support 🎉 Free early years HUBS facilitated playgroups & kids sport. Monday to Friday during the school term. 🥫 Food distribution & emergency relief. Weekly organised food boxes and monthly large scale drop-in. 💪 Physical & mental wellbeing group programs - Subsidised $5 per class. Monday to Saturday during the school term. 🎓 Life Skills capacity building for youth 🏫 Homeschooling community connections 🎈 Regular free family fun day events 🤝 Network meetings for industry professionals to connect and share resources. (E.g., gr8 start network) ☕ Volunteer-run Community Cafe. A great little social space and fundraiser for the food box program. On top of all the services above that our organisation provides at the Centre, we are also continuing to expand relationships and partnerships with all local community groups and service providers as the central hub of connection and collaboration of community support services in the Northern Gold Coast. OTHER ACTIVITIES & GROUPS THAT OPERATE FROM THE CENTRE: 🎭 🐕 Beacon Dog Training - Puppy school! 💪 Bullseye Personal Fitness - One on One training and small group training. 🥋 Dean Pratt - Martial Arts 🛠 Family Services Australia - Jobs search services & Disability support services 💃 HipHop Bhangra Gold Coast - Large group Hiphop dance training and performances. 🕺 Hipa Studios - Wide range of dance training with many varieties and age groups. 🥋 Jason Powell - Jiu Jitsu 0475 739 681 🚭 Lives Lived Well - Drug & alcohol psychoeducation group for community clients who are managing low level substance use issues 🍀 Mcneill Academy of Irish Dance - Amazing Irish Dancing studio 🍳 New Potential - Occupational Therapist supporting young adult clients with an intellectual disability in improving their cooking skills. 🌍 Northern Gold Coast Rotaract - Youth-based charity supporting local community and beyond. ⛪ Northgate Church - Sunday morning church group. 🔤 Speech for Kids - Speech pathology for children. Lots of free speech development screening. 🎭 SONYQ EDGE Performing Arts - High-level performing arts training & education. Incredible skills! 🎤 Upper Coomera Toastmasters - Amazing group of people who encourage each other to further their public speaking and general confidence. 👫 Wellways - Facilitated peer Group meet up to create connection and community amongst unpaid carers. We are extremely grateful for this long-standing relationship and for all the positive impact the programs have had in the Northern Gold Coast Community over the last 18 years. The NORTHERN GOLD COAST COMMUNITY CARE PROGRAM (which includes the food distribution program and counselling support) is made possible by a variety of community-minded organisations.
