I've been having a little time on my hands these days. I decided to attend a grief counseling group. I had an inner awakening. Physically my wife of 25 years, Mother and nuturer to my unreal 3 beautiful children Coming up on a year since Bridget passed. I realized that you can pretend to be stoic but inside you're hurting but cant portray that to the public. So I went to a meeting in town. It was the only grief counseling group in the area. Expecting a room of grieving people like me to bullshit with and get help. But got handed a text book and watched youtube videos. Was not for me. Hope and pray it helps others get through grief. I had a true awakening driving back to The Reefshack. The RS has everything for people in need of help. Ive met so many wonderful people at that store that had lost loved ones. And just want someone to listen. Im offering @the_reefshack every Thursday a place for anyone going through turmoil and just want folks that are going through horrific times they can relate too. Open up cry, laugh whatever. As per the info in the photo pamphlet. There are other areas of grief. Not just spousal. I do not want money, no religious agendas, no politics. We need a mellow casual, spontaneous place for all who need to let loose and just talk or listen. Ill provide apps and bring whatever else you feellblike bringing. Its that simple. No text books or videos. Unless we all want to watch Terms of Endearment together and cry our eyes out Limited to 49 people.
