They felt good at the start. The reviews were convincing. And then, slowly, things changed. Sagging. Sleeping hotter than before. Waking up sore and wondering if it was just me. It took longer than I’d like to admit to realise it wasn’t bad luck. It was the mattress Once I started paying attention to what they were actually made of, a lot clicked into place. Synthetic foams break down. They’re designed to feel comfortable at first, then gradually lose support. Replacing them every few years is treated as normal. That never really sat right with me. I started looking into natural latex instead. Not blended. Not layered over foam. Just latex that’s durable, breathable, and made to last. Peace Lily stood out because they don’t just talk about materials. They control the entire process, from the farms where the latex is grown to the mattress being made. That level of transparency mattered to me. It cost more upfront. But once I stopped thinking in terms of replacement cycles and started thinking long term, it actually felt like the more sensible decision. I’ve been sleeping on my Peace Lily mattress for over a year now. And the biggest difference is how little I think about it. It hasn’t changed. I sleep well. And I don’t feel like I’ll be back mattress shopping anytime soon. Turns out, replacing mattresses every few years doesn’t have to be normal.
