Wait so I know this looks like a fun little vlog but I wanted to share something you may not see from this video: Just like every little girl, I loved horses growing up… like literally I made my family pull the car over anytime we saw horses in a field just so I could look at them for a little longer😅 When we moved to texas (I was 4) there was a little barn at the front of my grandparents neighborhood and after months of asking to take lessons (consistently with a hint of stubbornness is key🤭) my mom and dad said yes. From the time I was 5 to 15 I was riding horses every week & competing in a few different events each year. But just like every kid, I grew up. I went to college. I started my business. I got married to the love of my life. And suddenly the thing I had loved doing all my life was something I MAYBE did once a year:/ This year I promised myself that I would pickup ONE hobby that I did as a kid. The week we moved to Nashville I found @katiemspoon , toured her stunning property and have been taking lessons every week since💛 The amount of joy that the 1 hour of riding each week brings is unmatched. I wanted to share this with everyone because I know I have a lot of hard working and goal oriented women who follow me… I know every single one of you had something YOU LOVED doing as a kid. And my biggest piece of advice is to get back into it if you have the chance. Because honestly what’s the point of working hard if you don’t do things for YOU that YOU enjoy?!?!
