How we go on spontaneous adventures in full comfort without stressing about parking issues or narrow roads thanks to this cutting edge campervan. As a youngster, while friends dreamed of Porsches and Ferraris, I was always drawn to the idea of a home on wheels. But weirdly, I never thought of myself as a “camping person”. Tents were too damp for my liking. Setting them up (and taking them down) was a pain in the you-know-what. And renting or towing caravans felt like too much extra work. I just wanted to be able to whisk my family away on spontaneous adventures around our glorious country, without any of the faff. So after years of wrestling with complex trailer tents, folding caravans, and cumbersome motorhomes, I realised what I was missing: A campervan. So I tried out a bunch of campervans, but every single one was a letdown. They were either poorly designed, uncomfortable, or just not practical for life on the road. First, there were the “driving” challenges, such as: - Difficulty parking in city car parks - Tricky manoeuvring on narrow roads - Failing to pass height restrictions at barriers - Inefficient for everyday road travel But then there were the “living” challenges: - Limited space and storage - Uncomfortable sleeping options - No insulation or reliable heating - No toilets or showers …and cooking facilities were either useless or nowhere to be seen. So I began tinkering and modifying campervans myself. (My background in electronics, plumbing, heating, and mechanical work came in handy here.) Because what started as a hobby on my driveway, soon grew into a thriving business. And that’s how Sussex Campervans was born! 👉 www.SussexCampervans.com Now I had a ‘new’ mission. Which was to help others experience the joy of exploring the open road in a way that’s accessible to anyone and 100% stress-free. Over the years, we’ve grown a fantastic team of craftsmen and engineers, combining traditional skills with cutting-edge technology. Our campervans combine the agility of a car with the comfort of a luxury camper. They’re small on the outside yet cleverly spacious inside.
