Dorothy nearly ran straight into little Miss Woodhouse and Colonel Smythe under the school porch. Without another word, he stomped off to bother her instead. “Was he being a pest?” Dorothy asked Miss Woodhouse, who was fumbling with her bicycle. “You ought to stamp on his foot if he gets over-familiar. Or bat him one in the nose.” “Oh, I couldn’t possibly!” Miss Woodhouse squeaked, wide-eyed with horror.
