While your system is in defrost mode you may notice: Cool or lukewarm air coming from vents for a few minutes The system running longer than usual Steam or water coming from the outdoor unit The outdoor fan stopping temporarily This cycle typically lasts 5–15 minutes and helps the system return to efficient heating. Important: DO NOT TURN THE UNIT OFF DURING DEFROST MODE Do not adjust the thermostat repeatedly The system will automatically return to normal heating once defrost is complete
