BNS Refrigeration is a refrigeration and air conditioning contracting and maintenance provider based in Mount Isa, Queensland. We have been proudly serving this city for nearly 36 years now. We work on all sorts of cool projects across the Mount Isa region including small to large commercial A/C installation projects, commercial refrigeration & maintenance, transport refrigeration, residential air conditioning (NOT domestic refrigeration) and more. We’ve got so many projects on the go that we need another pair of hands. And we have big plans to make 2024 a great year! Here’s why working with us will be the best career move you ever make: • Your role comes with a well above the award wage hourly rate of up to $65/hr based on your level of experience and expertise. • 8am – 5pm 38 hour week with an early finish each Friday afternoon at 3pm. • 5 weeks annual leave as we are a bit further out of the way then most cities meaning travel is required for those well-earned breaks. • We are big on personal development so there is plenty of room to not only grow personally, but also with the team as technologies change and improve; • You will help to style and grow the business to reach its full potential, as each team member is encouraged to voice opinions on ways to improve in all areas; • You will be part of an awesome team environment; • Beers, barbeques and lots of fun social events – you’ll need a sense of humour! What we ARE ABSOLUTELY looking for: • Be appropriately qualified and have a high level of electrical / HVACR understanding • Be organised with an eye for detail • Be self-motivated with the ability to work safely both alone and with a team • Have a practical mindset and be able to think on your feet • Have strong communication skills • Take pride in your work and go the extra mile to make sure the job is top notch • The ability to listen and learn from your peers. What we are in NO WAY looking for: • Split bashers (This cant be the only skill set of a qualified Technician) • Drive-by service aficionados (Yes, you really do need to take the covers off to maintain units) • Apprentice haters (Yes, they can be frustrating and lose your tools BUT you were just as hopeless once upon a time as well, so teach them the ways of the Tradie) • Muppet's (There is a large mine site full of them just across the river from town, apply there instead please) Having the right stuff is a top priority for us.
