PSA to anyone using dishwasher detergent pods: I’ve been using these pods for years. I’m so upset because I just found out they contain a bunch of microplastics that end up in my kids' food...not to mention the toxic chemicals that were destroying my gut (and can even cause cancer). Turns out tons of brands contain Alcohol Ethoxylates (known digestive system irritant) and 1,4-Dioxane (a human carcinogen found in most detergents). 1,4-Dioxane doesn’t even have to be listed on the label…how is that legal? And don't even get me started on those gross plastic capsules. They may LOOK like they dissolve, but those microplastics are coating the dishes you eat off of every time you run the dishwasher. Plus apparently those plastic capsules clog up your dishwasher, which can then cost hundreds of dollars to repair. That’s why I decided to do my own research and test out dozens of dishwasher tablets made WITHOUT microplastics and toxic ingredients.
