Sometimes #bunions cross over or under the second toes, and sometimes they just push all of them over creating a lateral drift. For most patients we can do some tendon work to let the second toe sit back next to the big toe when we straighten it, but for some people that is not enough! In those cases we straighten the smaller toes back towards the bunion in a similar way that we straighten a typical hammertoe.
