CURRENT JOB VACANCIES OPERATIONS MANAGER Shorefields Supplies is an independent family firm supplying products to equestrian, farm, small holding & pet customers. We sell through four websites as well as our shop on White Lund Industrial Estate. We offer a delivery service from Preston up to Kendal & from Bentham and Ingleton across the South Lakes to Barrow. We also attend several local equestrian & agricultural shows throughout the showing season. Our store is supported from our warehouse located at a separate location in Heysham. Our retail team members work as part of the store team to ensure the smooth running of our shop on White Lund Industrial Estate. They also undertake local deliveries to customers & a regular delivery service to customers in the South Lakes area. Retail team members also provide a relief service to the warehouse team. Our shop is open 9-5 Monday – Friday & 9-3 on a Saturday. The Job Role This job entails working as part of a team to: * Provide excellent customer service to our wide customer base face to face, over the phone & by e-mail/on line. * Arrange staff appraisals & training. * Manage staffing levels across both sites. * Order replacement stock * Undertake product displays & develop in store open days * Keep the company website up to date & relevant * Undertake deliveries to customers as & when required. * Collect stock from the warehouse to replenish the shop. The Person Specification We are looking for someone with the following attributes: * Able to work as part of a team * Must have relevant experience. * Must hold a valid UK driving license * Basic IT skills – we will teach you the rest * Able to lift 25kg bags of feed to assist customers loading their vehicles * Proactive outlook * Great communication skills & attention to detail This position is on a permanent fulltime basis.
