Had a call yesterday with a client who was making a HUGE mistake with her Meta campaigns... Her funnel was good, her offer was converting... but the strategy to optimize her ads was not right... See, her funnel looked like this: - Front-end offer ($100 average cart value) - Some upsells to help liquidate - Email sequence selling a $2,000 back-end product The problem? She was killing campaigns with “poor ROAS” that were actually bringing in GOOD front-end buyers at $150-200 CPA. Yes, that’s above her $100 AOV, but these buyers were converting well to her $2K offer! Here’s my fix that completely changed her business: Your low-ticket funnel should be its own self-sustaining ecosystem. 🌎 I take this so far that in my business, every cent from a low-ticket funnel goes back to that funnel. The payment processor connects to its own bank account, which funds the credit card for ads. Completely self-contained universe. Instead of overall ROAS, focus on: Front-End CPA vs. Average Cart Value This is your North Star. Keep your CPA at or under your AOV. Scale Based on Front-End Economics 🟢 GREEN: CPA below AOV → Scale aggressively 🟡 YELLOW: CPA close to AOV → Maintain spend 🔴 RED: CPA above AOV → Cut or optimize Treat Back-End as Separate Monitor it, but don’t let it drive front-end decisions. After implementing this approach: - Front-end AOV: $127 (added order bumps) - CPA: $115 (better targeting, creatives) - Slightly profitable on the front-end - Cash flow pressure GONE The mindset shift: Front-end = customer acquisition machine Back-end = profit center When you separate these functions, your optimization decisions become crystal clear. Not factoring in back-end sales doesn’t mean they don’t matter. It means you’re creating a sustainable business that doesn’t rely on hope. This approach creates predictability and stability in today’s volatile ad landscape. Say Seven if you want my free Ads Guide and I’ll send it to you!
