City Home of the Year 2026 | awarded by Home of Architecture. This Kohimarama home was named City Home of the Year 2026 - the timber detailing was Woodsmith's. The interior and exterior vertical slats. The decking and its framing. Cedar soffits at the entry. The driveway bridge. The rooftop screening the judges described as a “secret oasis of calm.” Designed by Daniel Marshall Architects and set across four levels, the home is a study in material contrast - Ziegel brick, lime plaster, Nordic spruce, and natural cedar working together.
