PSA to anyone using dishwasher detergent pods: I’m a doctor and I’ve been using these pods for years. I’m so upset because I just found out they contain a bunch of toxic chemicals that were destroying my gut (and can even cause cancer). Turns out tons of brands contain Alcohol Ethoxylates (known digestive system irritant) and 1,4-Dioxane (a human carcinogen found in most detergents). 1,4-Dioxane doesn’t even have to be listed on the label…how is that legal? Plus apparently it clogs up your dishwasher, which can then cost hundreds of dollars to repair. That’s why I decided to do my own research and test out dozens of dishwasher pods made WITHOUT toxic ingredients.
