After working on this project since 2009, it's finally done. For years, I collected stories about my dating life after divorce. This was going to be a part of a series: "My Life in a Tutu," then "Tipsy in Stilettos", and finally "The Promise I Kept." But once I finished taking care of my dad for 9 years, it felt so frivolous, so I put it on hold and wrote the final book; the story of how I cared for his physical needs with a promis I kept, while he took care of me spiritually at the end of his life. To grow as a writer, rather than make it a true memoir (or even fiction), it came down to creating it as auto-fiction - my stories, just with some creative license. The book will come out on May 20th. It will be on Amazon, but I will also have hard copies. It's a series of laugh-out-loud misadventures: dates that should have come with the warning label “run now!” Many online matches, as well as men I met organically, defied explanation, leaving me to wonder whether staying home for the rest of her life in comfy PJs and a bottle of wine might be the better love story. A silly, fun read just in time for the summer. I'll keep you posted!
